Dr. Yang Liu

Attending Physician

Dr. Yang Liu, is the head of the Research Center and Chest Wall Trauma Surgery at the ICWS, Secretary of the China Chest Wall Surgery Alliance, Secretary and Member of the Chest Wall Surgery Speciality Committee at Guangdong Association of Thoracic Diseases, Member of the Guangdong Medical Education Association’s Translational Oncology Specialty Committee, and a Ph.D. candidate in Thoracic Surgery.

Dr. Liu's clinical focus includes chest wall deformities in patients of all age

groups, specifically pectus excavatum, pectus carinatum, and flat chest. Over 7 years of clinical and research work in chest wall surgery, he has participated in more than 4,000 thoracic surgeries and has led over 1,000 procedures, including chest wall deformity correction and hyperhidrosis surgeries.

As of now, Dr. Liu has published over 40 papers, including 2 SCI papers (with the highest impact factor being 3.932) and 3 papers in Chinese core journals as the first author. He has also led a provincial medical research project and participated in several provincial and municipal research projects.
