Minimally Invasive Surgery for a Young Male Patient with Flat Chest
Medical History
The young male patient was quite slim in his early years without any signs of chest deformity. During adolescence, he experienced a growth spurt that made him taller and thinner, resulting in a flatter appearance of the anterior chest wall.
Preoperative Examination
The anterior chest wall is flat, and the heart is noticeably compressed. The patient was diagnosed with flat chest.
Surgical Overview
Two small incisions, each measuring 1.5 cm, were made on both sides of the chest wall. The Wung procedure was then performed using two bars. The operation lasted 30 minutes and was completed successfully. After the surgery, the deformity was completely corrected, achieving a satisfactory result.
