The Institute of Chest Wall Surgery

We are a team led by Dr. Wenlin Wang, a recognized specialist in chest wall surgery and the pioneer of this field in China. The Wang procedure, developed by Dr. Wenlin Wang, is a new surgical procedure for treating pectus excavatum and has been approved by China’s National Health Commission.

We have developed several procedures such as the Wang procedure, the Wung procedure, the Wenlin procedure, etc. These procedures are less traumatic and more effective than traditional procedures such as the Nuss procedure and the Ravitch procedure . We have also identified and named a variety of rare chest wall deformities such as grooved chest, saddle chest, Wenlin chest, etc.

In more than 15 years, we have performed nearly 10,000 chest wall surgeries. Our team has also successfully completed numerous complex surgeries, including the world's first simultaneous surgery for asphyxiating thoracic dysplasia combined with congenital heart disease.
