Dr. Shaoyi Zheng, is the Head of the Lymphatic Surgery Division at the ICWS, and the Secretary of the China Chest Wall Surgery Alliance.
Dr. Zheng specializes in the treatment of chest wall diseases, including chest wall deformities, tumors, and hernias. He also possesses extensive experience in treating lymphatic system diseases, with particular proficiency in managing postoperative or trauma-induced lymphatic fistulas, lymphangiomas, lymphatic malformations, and
lymphangiectasis. Dr. Zheng has developed a comprehensive theoretical system for the integrated treatment of chest wall lymphatic diseases. His approach emphasizes the incorporation of dietary management and exercise therapy to provide personalized and precise care.
In addition to his clinical activities, Dr. Zheng is active in research and education. From 2020 to 2023, he contributed chapters on chest trauma and closed thoracic drainage surgery to the Basic Surgery School textbook at Sun Yat-sen University's First Affiliated Hospital. Dr.Zheng has been involved in 2 national-level research projects and 1 provincial-level project, and has published numerous papers in SCI journals and core academic journals. His current research focuses on chylothorax, with a particular interest in non-surgical treatment methods.
