Surgery for A 3-year-old Patient with Severe Complex Chest Wall Deformities
Medical History
The patient is only 3 years old and had complex deformities of the anterior chest wall, featuring a protruding right side that appears ridge-like, while the central and left sides were flat and slightly depressed.
Preoperative Examination
There are evident deformities on the anterior chest wall, with the right side protruding prominently and forming an acute angle deformity. The left side of the chest wall is relatively depressed, causing compression on the heart.
Surgical Overview
The Wenlin procedure and the Wang procedure were performed for the protrusion and depression respectively. The surgery was successfully completed and the patient's chest wall appearance returned to normal after the surgery.
